Tip: Lock Important Files June 15, 2006

Great info “There may be times when you want to lock certain files or folders on your Mac so that they cannot be modified or deleted. A good example of this would be last year’s tax return. This file will probably never change, and you definitely don’t want to delete it any time soon. Mac OS X provides a way to lock most Finder items, protecting them from accidental deletion and corruption.” Dennis R. Metzcher
