With hundreds of thousands of iPhones flying off the shelves in the U.S. in the last three weeks—and numerous Apple stores reporting renewed shortages of the popular device—chances are good that IT staffers will be asked sooner or later to get an iPhone working on the corporate network. Given that Apple has a reputation for making consumer-focused products that—at least in the past—didn’t always play nice at work, most IT managers are likely skeptical of letting iPhones on their networks. Even without enterprise purchasing plans, a real keyboard and slow EDGE network speeds, the sheer form and function of this revolutionary piece of technology may soon have your management team pushing you to evaluate it for mass deployment. Cycleops Fluid2 Trainer July 17, 2007

So the Tour de France has you all fired up to go biking, but you just don’t want to miss the TV coverage. What to do? Bring your bike indoors and hook it up to the Cycleops Fluid2 Trainer. After replacing the rear wheel’s skewer with the one provided, you can quickly lock the rear wheel onto the treadmill spindle. The tyre spins a flywheel which is in turn damped by a liquid filled chamber, like a viscous-coupled car transmission, only in reverse.
The manufacturers, Saris Cycling Group, claim that the flywheel resistance setup gives a more road-like feel. We just like it because you get to train on your own bike, although for $330, plus another $20 for the Climbing Block to support the front wheel, you could pick up a cheap fixie and take a cruise, you know, outside.

The tipster says he followed a Google camera van as it cruised back to its Mountain View, California lair yesterday after that van finished a session of picture taking for Google’s Streetview navigation site, and what did he see there?

Installation involves plugging the antenna into the base unit… And that’s it, the thing just boosts away. It’ll work on CDMA, GSM, TDMA AMPS, GPRS, EDGE, 1xRTT, and EVDO. In other words, all networks except Nextel.

iPhone includes preset configurations for many of the popular providers such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, .Mac, and AOL, and in most cases sending mail will just work.
However if you are using a different provider than above and your ISP is blocking port 25, you may see a message that email couldn’t be delivered because the connection to the server on port 25 timed out.
If this is the case, try the following:

The article below is directly from the Apple site
Paying attention to just a few common sense pointers will pay off with a longer battery lifespan and battery life for your iPhone. The most important thing is to keep your iPhone out of the sun or a hot car (even the glove box). Heat will degrade your battery’s performance the most.
